David Best, President & CEO

David Best has over 30 years of experience with the development, commercialization and marketing of advanced technology products and services.

As President and CEO of Agilon, LLC, Mr. Best is responsible for establishing the company's vision and strategic direction, and growing Agilon's presence in the fundraising sector. Prior to forming Agilon, Mr. Best served as Vice President of Software Development at RuffaloCODY, a leading fundraising services provider.

Mr. Best and his wife Helen are active supporters of the United Way, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and the National Trust for Preservation of Historic Places, the Iowa Public Television Network and the Eastern Iowa Science Fair. Mr. Best holds a BSCS from Colorado State University, an MSEE from Iowa State University, and an MBA from The University of Iowa.


Carla Bartruff, Vice President Customer Service

Carla graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She has over 22 years of combined software training, quality assurance, helpdesk and human resources experience in the distribution, medical management and fundraising software arenas.

Carla's experience in fundraising began at ASCEND Technologies, a software venture developed by the University of Iowa Foudnation, where she held Quality Assurance, Technical Writer, Support Analyst and Corporate Trainer positions. Carla moved to RuffaloCODY with the acquisition of the ASCEND Software. She held Support Analyst and Corporate Trainer positions along with Customer Service Supervisor and Customer Service Manager.

At Agilon, Carla manages the Customer Service team and is responsible for Agilon User's Group Conference and activities.


Dave Brimeyer, Vice President Product Development

Dave's programming background began in the late 1970's with training in computer programming at a local college followed by experience in patient care management systems throughout the 1980's.

In 1987, Dave joined the University of Iowa Foundation, and soon after was involved in forming ASCEND Technologies, Inc. At ASCEND Technologies, Dave was responsible for analysis, programming and technical support for ASCEND. He held positions as Senior Project Leader and Director of Technical Research and Development before being promoted to Vice President, Technical Research and Development, Chief Technical Advisor. Dave is also an IBM Certified Solutions Expert - IBM iSeries Technology V4R5.

As the Vice President of Product Development for Agilon, Dave oversees the Software Development, Systems Implementation, Systems Engineering and Systems Testing teams.


Robert Wolff, Vice President Product Line Management

Bob Wolff received his BA from Iowa State University in Political Science, minoring in Sociology. He began his career in Training and Development working for RuffaloCODY in Athens, Georgia.

Bob led the Training and Development team at McLeodUSA to integrate more fully with their internal partner. He worked closely with their inside sales department to develop ongoing strategies to increase revenue and sales through partnerships with vendors of demographic information.

After seven years of training, documentation and staff management he re-joined the RuffaloCODY organization to work on the development of training programs for the product line. In 2005 he joined Agilon LLC as partner and Vice President of Product Line Management.

Amanda Miller, Marketing Manager

Amanda Miller received her MBA from the University of Iowa in 2012 and her BBA in Marketing and Administrative Management and a minor in Economics from Mount Mercy College. She previously served as Marketing Specialist for a major mass transit software provider before joining Agilon in 2007.

As Marketing Manager at Agilon, Amanda is responsible for developing and executing marketing communications, advertising and public relations, managing sales proposals, conducting market research, developing the Agilon web site, and coordinating participaton in industry conferences.

Amanda served on the Board of Directors for the American Advertising Federation: Cedar Rapids-Iowa City as Education Chair from 2006 to 2009. She has been a volunteer Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2011.
